Studio Agenda of PAA-Unit 2

The first task of the studio will begin by getting the student familiar with parametric associative
modeling software: Grasshopper (GH) and Rhinoceros. The early week’s agenda will be dedicated to
learn about the navigation, workflow and constraint of GH in a simple parametric operation. This
agenda will be worked in a group of max 2 students. Next, the students will be assigned to
experiment and investigate the generic form of an architectural entity (e.g. curtain wall)
parametrically. Then for the final project, the students are expected to manage and articulate their
proposal into a prototype (scale will be announced) of an architectural entity (which will be
announce later) through the potential use of parametric associative modeling and fabrication.
A studio trip will be held in the middle of semester to explore and investigate the application of
parametric design techniques and digital fabrication in the architecture domain.
